Are you ready for a cycling adventure of a lifetime? The 2024 Wild Ride is guaranteed to be WILD with 5 paved road routes: The Cottontail - 9 miles/400 feet elevation, The Bear Cub - 16.5 miles/1000 feet elevation, The Bobcat - 30 miles/1900 feet elevation, The Rattlesnake - 60 miles/3100 feet elevation), and The Tick - 101 miles/6800 feet elevation and 2 gravel routes: The Hawk - 34 miles/3460 feet elevation and The Storm - 60 miles/5800 feet elevation). Cyclists will roll through the heart of Ohio's largest and hilliest state forest. Aid stations are provided along designated courses. Register Here.

    The Wild Ride Experience
  • Diverse Routes for Beginner to Advanced Riders: Choose from 5 paved and 2 gravel routes, each designed to challenge and inspire riders. Because the Wild Ride has a 9-mile Cottontail and a 100-mile Tick, there are choices for riders. Bring the family. Whether you’re a road cyclist or a gravel enthusiast, the Wild Ride caters to all.
  • Scenic Exploration: Cyclists will traverse the undulating hilly terrain of Shawnee State Forest.
  • Roving Support: Roving SAGs (Support and Gear) and aid stations will be strategically placed along every course, ensuring riders stay fueled and hydrated.
  • Unique Format: The Wild Ride brings together road riders and gravel riders, all starting and finishing at the same location—a true celebration of cycling camaraderie.
  • Finish Line Festivities: Cross the finish line to a warm Southern Ohio welcome, music, and an official finish arch commemorating your achievement.

  • Top riders in each segment will receive coveted prizes. To be eligible, participants must have a Strava account connected to their ride. Please note that e-bikes are not eligible for segment challenges.


    Registration Details
  • Early Bird Registration (until June 1st). Cottontail Only: $25 with all onther routes $45.
  • Pre-Order Commemorative Jersey. Must pro-order before May 15
  • Registration Fee Includes o Wild Ride t-shirt, commemorative pub glass, event photos (available one week after the event), edible medal decorated to depict the critter route conquered on the ride and voucher for one drink of your choice at the historic Portsmouth Brewing Company (redeemable within 2 weeks post-event)

    Logistics
  • Check-In: All routes begin check-in at 7:00 AM.
  • Aid Stations: Aid stations will be open until 3:00 PM
  • Finish Line: Festivities conclude by 5:00 PM
  • Late Riders: If you’re on the course after 3:00 PM, aid station and SAG support may not be available.
